Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated another major accolade by becoming the most searched athlete in Google history.
The 38-year-old Portugal star beat the likes of Argentine legend Lionel Messi and Indian cricket star Virat Kohli to the title.
Google commemorated their 25th anniversary with a video highlighting the highest searches across various categories, with Ronaldo reigning supreme among athletes.
The 38-year-old remains one of the most recognisable athletes on the planet, and his 615 million followers on Instagram is a higher figure than any other person.
Posting about the milestone on X (Twitter), Ronaldo commented: ‘Grateful to be honoured as the most searched athlete in Google history.’
He attached a video which saw a number of his fans perform the ‘Siu’ celebration, ending with his own rendition.
Ronaldo is a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or and Champions League winner. He has lifted the Premier League trophy three times, while winning the Serie A and La Liga twice each.
