Luis Suarez on possibly joining Inter Miami: For now, Leo Messi isn’t asking me to join

Luis Suarez remains David Beckham’s next goal for Inter Miami. The former English footballer and owner of the Miami soccer club wants the ‘Pistolero’ in pink next season.

A dream that would reunite two old friends, the Uruguayan striker and Leo Messi. In recent days and after Suarez’s farewell to Gremio it has been rumored that it was the Argentine star himself who was trying to convince the Uruguayan striker to come to the USA. “At the moment, what I want is to rest. I talked to my lawyer about a couple of things and hopefully it will happen. For now, Leo Messi doesn’t want me to go. I don’t know where I’m going to play, I need to rest and enjoy what I’ve achieved during this time”, admitted Lucho in a conversation with Juan Pablo Varsky in ‘Clank’.

“It could be a possibility. I have the best player in the world, a great friend there”.

But the reunion would also be with Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and there are even rumors of the possible arrival of two more Blaugranas in Sergi Roberto and Rakitic. Undoubtedly a situation that could motivate Suarez to choose David Beckham’s Inter Miami as his next destination.

During the interview, the striker also recalled his time as a Barcelona player: “It was in a game against Ajax because Leo was playing as a false nine. I was playing with Ney, open. Leo said to me during the game: ‘Gordo, you play as a back nine and I’ll open up on the right’.

“That’s when I started to feel good. Luis Enrique asked us if we were comfortable and that’s when we all started to play up there. We had to respect the best player in the world who had just won everything with Guardiola.”
